Hervé Voirin trained as a classical percussionist at the conservatory, winning several prizes with orchestral musicians and soloists (Eric Sammut, Michel Visse, P.F. Resta).
After winning a Percussion Prize at the Lyon Conservatoire (Georges Van Gucht, Jean Geoffroy), 5 years were devoted to the Orchestra (Besançon, Lyon).
In 2006, he devoted himself fully to the marimba, with a focus on improvisation and composition, while also playing jazz vibraphone (Jazz Research 4tet).
In 2010, he began training in Amplified Live Music and MAO.
The VOCE (marimba) album is the crystallization stage for composition and improvisation, inspired by classical, contemporary, jazz and pop music.
