LATINUS BRASS BAND
Created in the pure British tradition, the Latinus Brass Band counts among its “cadres” teachers from the “Conservatoires Nationaux de Nîmes et de Montpellier” and teachers from the region’s music schools, all of them volunteers.
The brass band model came to the fore because it met several objectives: the collaboration of professionals and amateurs: it offers high-level practice to musicians whose professional orientation has kept them away from artistic careers, and perpetuates their apprenticeship. In this way, it encourages pedagogical exchange. Develop a genuine dynamic of activism and conviviality, and invite a wide audience to learn more about percussion and brass instruments. The repertoire includes both original works and transcriptions.
